In the wake of the 2008-2009 liquidity crisis and slow economic recovery, we are left with historically low yields, new money fund regulations and Basel III implementation in 2016. This session provides short-term investors with an in-depth look at the new regulations impacting money market funds and treasury investing in general. In addition, our discussion will include practical strategies investors can use in light of historically low yields.
Speaker, Kirk Black
Biography
Mr. Black is a Vice President of BNY Mellon and the Treasury Investments Senior Relationship Manager. He is responsible for BNY Mellon’s treasury investment products.
Mr. Black has been with BNY Mellon since 2000. He spent his first several years with the company working for Mellon Capital Markets, where he specialized in providing investment banking services to clients including capital formation, M&A advisory, and leveraged finance. Prior to joining Mellon, Mr. Black was a Business Advisory Senior with Arthur Andersen, LLP.
Mr. Black holds a BS from The Pennsylvania State University Smeal College of Business and a MBA from the Katz School at The University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Black is a Certified Treasury Professional and Certified Public Accountant as well as a Registered Representative with FINRA.
